Solution Architect
Job Purpose
The Solution Architect is responsible for owning the technical design and engineering direction of the Marketplace while remaining hands-on in development. The role translates Marketplace requirements into an executable architecture, establishes technical standards, and works closely with development teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Strong experience in software architecture and enterprise backend development.
Hands-on experience with .NET/Core or comparable enterprise backend technologies.
Strong experience in REST APIs, Microservices, and integration architecture.
Strong knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL and database architecture.
Experience with Docker and CI/CD.
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and RBAC.
Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Define the overall technical architecture of the Marketplace application.
Design the architecture for core domains including customer, vendor, catalog, pricing, cart, orders, payments, commissions, notifications, reviews, administration, and reporting.
Design backend/API architecture, database architecture, and domain models.
Define authentication, RBAC, permissions, API standards, and integration patterns.
Define architecture for future integrations with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, logistics, and identity services.
Establish Microservices or Modular Monolith boundaries based on business and technical requirements.
Define coding standards, repository structure, and CI/CD practices.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
Work hands-on with developers on complex technical features and solutions.
Mentor backend and frontend developers and provide technical guidance.
Monitor and control technical debt and ensure long-term maintainability.
Own technical release readiness and ensure solutions meet defined quality and architecture standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in software architecture and hands-on enterprise application development.
Strong knowledge of .NET/Core or comparable enterprise backend technologies.
Strong experience with REST APIs, Microservices, DDD, CQRS, and integration architecture.
Strong knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL and database design.
Proficiency in Docker and CI/CD practices.
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, RBAC, and permissions.
Strong problem-solving, technical leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to remain hands-on while providing architectural direction and mentoring development teams.
