Frontend Engineering Lead
Job Purpose
The Frontend Engineering Lead is responsible for owning the customer, vendor, and administration interfaces of the Marketplace. The role is hands-on and focuses on frontend architecture, development, performance, and quality while working closely with Backend and UX teams to deliver scalable, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Strong experience in frontend engineering and application development.
Hands-on experience with React/Next.js or Angular.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend development practices.
Experience building responsive and component-driven applications.
Strong experience with API integration, state management, authentication, and role-based interfaces.
Experience with automated frontend testing and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain the frontend architecture for the Marketplace.
Develop and maintain customer, vendor, and administration portals.
Build reusable components and establish a scalable Marketplace Design System.
Implement responsive interfaces across browsers and devices.
Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services.
Implement state management, authentication, authorization, and role-based interfaces.
Optimize application performance, usability, and browser/device compatibility.
Ensure accessibility and adherence to frontend development standards.
Implement automated frontend testing and maintain code quality.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to established coding standards.
Work closely with Backend and UX teams to deliver integrated Marketplace solutions.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to additional frontend developers as the team grows.
Requirements
Proven experience in hands-on frontend engineering and technical leadership.
Strong proficiency in React/Next.js or Angular and TypeScript.
Strong understanding of frontend architecture and component-driven development.
Experience with modern state management and API integration.
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and role-based access.
Experience with responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and automated testing.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to remain hands-on while providing technical direction and mentoring to frontend developers.
